No, I'm not really back, in case you are wondering
We have been experiencing both kinds of viruses at the Simple Home - the medical one, and almost everyone in the house has been down with at some point in the past two weeks; and the computer kind, and my access to the internet has been very spotty, and it looks like it is going to take a major computer cleaning to get it back, so I don't know when I'll be back here regularly.

Sorry, I've been sick - Lent Day 13
All mine today.
Fast - No chocolate today. This is a very real fast for me. I don't know about the rest of you, but I will surely notice it.
Pray - Search, Ponder and Then Pray.

Lent Day 7
Elizabeth's Fast and Give and my Pray.
Fast: Don’t read blogs or message boards today. Ask God to make you aware of how much time you have gained and to show you how He wants you to fill that time.
Pray: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering” (James 1:5–6). If you have any questions about any member of your family, ask Him and it shall be given to you.
Give: Go outside and play with your children. Don’t just watch them, engage.

Lent Day 6
My Fast, Elizabeth's Prayer and Give.
Fast: I will get quieter when I feel like yelling today.
Pray: Read a passage from Scripture and then sit, without saying or doing anything, for 10 minutes.
Give: When you make dinner for your family tonight, make it good enough for “company.” Because they are.

What Was Lost Is Now Found, Part 2
You are not going to believe it.
Seriously.
My keys have been found.
But it wasn't the grocery store (I lost them at the grocery store about three weeks ago) that called. It was the library.
Huh?
Well, I have a grocery key card and mine and the little Simples' library cards on my key ring, along with the car keys and house keys.
A woman recently? noticed that she had someone's keyring that had library key cards on it. I'm not exactly sure of the whole story, but anyway, she turned them in to the library and the library called me to tell me that they had my keys and I could come get them.
I am still not sure what happened to my keys and how this lady had them, unless she grabbed them at the grocery store because she thought they were hers and then got out to the car, and got her actual keys out, and then didn't notice for three weeks that she had another set in her purse. Actually, I really don't care what the story is and what happened. I'm just glad and ASTOUNDED that my keys were found.
And I haven't lost the phone or the camera again either! Woo-hoo! LOL

Daybook - March 2nd
~ Do stop by Peggy's for all the Daybook links this week. ~
Outside My Window ... There are snow flurries, but there is no snow on the ground. It is supposed to get up in the 30s today. I am so, so tired of it being cold.
***
I am thinking ... about March, and the changes I'm going to make to the house - the windows and the learning room. In the learning room, lots of updates - new shape, new number, new letter, new month and some brand new activities. On the dining room windows, I took down the valentines and hearts and put up clovers. The heart garland is still up at the top. It is so sweet. I'm not quite ready to let it go.
***
I am thankful ... cold medication. I was so sick on Friday and Saturday, but I am feeling quite a bit better now after a couple nights with the humidifier running, and medication. And sleep.
***
From the kitchen ... I just fixed myself some cheesy pototoes and blueberry yogurt. It was yummy to me, but writing it down sounds like a dreadful combination.
***
I am wearing ... a t-shirt, sweats, socks, and slippers. I'm all for comfort today.
***
I am creating ... a cleaner home, I hope. Everyone pitched in and did a bunch of cleaning last night, and I'm hoping to finish it up today.
***
I am reading ... The Essential 55 off my bookshelf, and Nature for the Very Young. I picked it up at the library yesterday.
***
I am hoping .... that we will have consistent spring weather (as in for at least 7 days in a row) before April 1st.
***
I am hearing ... the dog running around the house, Flower singing, and a little Vivaldi.
***
Around the house ... I want to finish doing laundry today. It got a little out of control this week.
***
One of my favorite things ... Have I used Hot Chocolate too much? LOL I love reading. I don't do it as often as I'd like or for as long as I'd like, but I do love it.
***
A few plans for this week ... It is kind of a busy week - Girl Scouts and swimming tonight, church activity tomorrow, swimming Wednesday, and 4-H on Thursday.
***
Here is a picture thought I am sharing ...
